Excursions to higher temperatures exceeding 600°C are permitted, with the length of the excursion determining the maximum temperature. This exceptional thermal latitude ensures that components made from Ducoya do not deform or degrade in harsh thermal environments.
What can be even more interesting is that the Ducoya G series does not exhibit a glass transition, also abbreviated to Tg, or other troublesome, property-changing transitions over this extensive temperature range, significantly simplifying the design of components and consideration of ‘off-design’ operation.
